About MPL Systems, Inc.History1974 - A little company named MPL Associates, is begun by Mike Lavorgna. The company opens for business selling customized computing equipment, design services, cable assemblies and switching equipment to clients on Wall Street. 1978 - MPL Associates incorporates and becomes MPL Systems, Inc. It is evident that the need for "Data Communications" expertise on a consulting basis is prevalent. 1985-1987 - MPL lands two large Corporate Relocation projects - for JP Morgan and Salomon Brothers. Contracted to provide Infrastructure Design, Support, and IMAC services, the stage was set. MPL establishes itself as a Premier IT Consulting Company serving the Wall Street community. 1988 - MPL opens a Cable Design and Installation Division to address the need for these services when union labor is not required. These services are initially provided to Enterprise clients but easily evolve into a division catering to not only Enterprise clients but also the small business (SME) market. 1990 - MPL Systems recognizes the considerable need for IT Services in the small to mid sized business market and opens an SME division that caters to companies of 5-500 people. Later this division expands to address the time-sensitive needs of the executive and creates an Executive Home Support division. 1992 - The Company changes ownership and expands - in terms of selling value-added solutions, unit pricing, and maintenance-oriented services. 2001 - A critical and challenging time for the country, and even more so for New York. MPL Systems goes through transition as well and Kelly Lavorgna after serving the company in numerous capacities for 17 years becomes its 100% owner, making MPL one of the largest woman-owned companies doing business on Wall Street. TodayToday MPL Systems, Inc. employs well over 100 people and has provided services to scores of Enterprise clients. MPL has expanded its coverage, and provides services to companies along the East Coast and throughout major cities in the US. The Company is based in Clifton, New Jersey. Today MPL Systems, Inc. focuses its services on three distinct markets: Enterprise Services - MPL provides solutions to some of the most technologically sophisticated Fortune-class clients with multi-vendor, multi-platform, network environments and a mixture of state-of-the-art and legacy technology systems. Our clients typically support thousands of users located globally. Remote access for large numbers of travelers and home users is required. Small to Medium Sized Businesses - Small firm clients typically have one to five offices and five to 300 users. Their technology is usually single platform, and technology resources are typically shared across branches. Mid-sized clients have anywhere from 300 to 4000 users and range in technical variety between the Small firm and the Enterprise. Many have offices throughout the nation. Today these smaller businesses often require Home user support and remote access to their office systems. Executive Home Support Services - MPL recognizes that the Executive today has the same demanding service level expectations at home as they do at their corporate office. MPL’s SME Group offers the Executive best-in-class services whether they are at the office, at home, or on the road. |
